This morning, I found myself reflecting on my life journey and what life truly offers: love, loss, grief, and hope. One word came to mind: give.
If we want love, we must give love.
If we seek blessings, we must be willing to bless others.
If we long for sympathy, we must first offer it.
Life is a fragile balance — an ongoing exchange of giving and receiving.
Even Jesus made a radical statement that captures this truth at its core:
“For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.”
— Matthew 16:25–26 (NIV)
Jesus emphasizes the paradox of gaining spiritual rewards through self-denial.
Yet even in our daily, natural lives, this same principle applies: To gain something meaningful, we must first be willing to let go of something.
