——–This Wasn’t Safe—But It Was Right
👉 A young lady casually told me a story — simple, but it made me uneasy.
She was walking down the street when she noticed a young homeless man. Somehow, she sensed he didn’t look like the “typical” homeless person. Something about him made her stop.
They started talking. He said he had once tried to become a missionary — but after losing his job, he ended up on the street.
She didn’t just listen; she felt a nudge — a voice urging her to act.
She went to a nearby hotel, paid for two nights, and gave him the room keycard.
“Have a good rest,” she smiled and walked away.
Neither of them knew the other’s name.
I was surprised by what I heard. My first reaction wasn’t praise — it was concern.
“What if it was a scam?” I asked. “What if he was dangerous? What if he stole your personal information from the booking later?”
She replied, “Today, God showed me what sympathy means.”
That young woman is my daughter.
❤️ Her courage and trust in that moment exceeded mine. While I would have been afraid, she pressed on with faith.
📌 Sometimes compassion feels risky. And sometimes, even the tiniest acts of kindness are the loudest echoes of God’s voice.
🤔 We often talk about what it means to “love thy neighbor as thyself”, but how many of us would do what my daughter did?
I know I couldn’t, due to the lack of trust in this increasingly dangerous world, which is full of scammers.
How about you?
Wow, this really moved me. Your daughter’s faith and compassion are so powerful. Such a beautiful reminder that love often asks us to step out of our comfort zones. Thank you for sharing this moment. It challenged and inspired me. ❤️
Thank you, Kenneth, for reading. Her action inspired me too.
