How Loss Lingers While Life Goes On

The world without you

Every day, people die—quietly or loudly, young or old, known or unknown, from illness or tragedy, at the hands of others or themselves.

However, time continues—the sun rises and sets, the moon wanes and returns. Stars keep shining, and nature seems indifferent to human life.

Yet with each passing, a space is left that cannot be filled.

How many broken hearts each day?
How many tears fall unseen for those no longer here?

Some believe the spirit returns to heaven and that this life is merely a passage.

If this life is temporary, maybe that’s exactly why each life is so precious on Earth.

This troubled world needs more peace, compassion, and understanding. Every act of violence leaves a wound on someone, far beyond what we can see or feel.

If there is anything worth holding onto, it is kindness—the way we speak, the way we love, and the way we show up for one another, and the choice to care, even when the world feels harsh.

“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;”
Matthew 5:44 (KJV)
